Aaron Evans and Neal Hudson of PUC's men's basketball team received postseason honors from the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
"I think the recognition they both received at the conference level is great," said men's head coach Dan Voudrie, "It's a good reward for the hard work they've put in not only this year but throughout their whole careers."
Evans was selected as First Team All-CCAC and named CCAC Freshman-of-the-Year having finished his freshmen season as the only CCAC player to rank in the top six in scoring, assists and field goal percentage.
The 6-foot-2 point guard led the Peregrines in scoring 16 times this season and set new PUC freshmen records including his stellar performance against Purdue North Central where he scored 51 points.
Evans averaged 18.8 points and 4.1 assists per game and earned CCAC Player-of-the-Week twice during the season.
Hudson earned All-CCAC Honorable Mention and led the league in rebounding averaging 6.9 boards per game. The PUC junior was the second leading scorer for the Peregrines averaging 13.8 per game and he reached double-figures 19 times this season.
Voudrie said the team will build around and on top of these individuals as they try to build up the program and prepare for next season.
"They give us a good foundation to build on," said Voudrie.
