For anyone single, annoyed at the Hallmark holiday or simply in search of something different to do, here is a list--in no particular order--of the top ten not-so-lovey things to do this Valentine's weekend!

1) Scare yourself with a haunted Tour of Northwest Indiana, put on by Chaos Haunted and Historical Tours. Times and prices vary depending on group size. Visit or call chaos@netnitco.net, 219-714-3761 for more information.

2) Michigan City's Lighthouse Place Premium Outlets are featuring a Presidents Sale on Feb. 12. The Outlet hours are Mon-Sat: 9a.m.- 6p.m., Sun: 10 a.m.- 6p.m., visit www.premiumoutlets.com/sales/ for further info.

3) If you do venture out to Michigan City, the Barker Mansion is not to be missed! Barker Mansion is a historical landmark that features guided tours 10am, 11:30a.m. and 1p.m. Mon through Fri as well as Sat and Sun at Noon and 2p.m. Tickets are $4. 4) The City of Crown Point features ice skating right next to City Hall on the weekends from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. and the best part is admission is free.

5) The Indiana Welcome Center features a museum dedicated to the infamous John Dillinger. The museum is interactive with info on other well known criminals of the era. Hours are 10a.m. - 4p.m. daily, tickets are $4, visit dillingermuseum.com or call (219) 989-7979.

6) While you are at the Indiana Welcome Center, you can check out the Sanctuaries photography exhibit which features local artists. The exhibit is open daily from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and it is free. 7) Go see a non-romantic flick like "The Book of Eli," "Shutter Island" or "Edge of Darkness." All films play throughout the weekend; Check your local theaters for times and ticket prices.

8) Feel like taking out some aggression and burning some Valentines candy calories? Hammond has a boxing club which meets Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Prices are as low as $6 per class. Visit hammondboxingclubinc.com or call 219.852.4210.

9) The Horseshoe Casino in Hammond is featuring two concerts V-Day weekend. The first is Air Supply on Feb. 12 at 7:30pm, tickets start at $25.

The second concert is a Vietnamese Concert on Sunday the 14. This concert will be packed with a variety of Vietnamese artists to bring in the year of the Tiger. The show starts at 9p.m. and tickets start at $28. For either show visit ticketmaster.com!

10) Downtown Hammond's Towle Theater is hosting a modern dance production featuring dancers from the Indiana Ballet Theatre and Indiana University Northwest. Kaleidoscope 2010 plays Feb 12 and 13 at 8pm. Tickets are $10, go to towletheater.org or call 219-937-8780 for tickets or information.
