Star-struck fans swoon over Depp's Region appearance

Region residents swarmed Crown Point last week, hoping to spot actor Johnny Depp. The actor filmed scenes for the movie "Public Enemies". Depp portrays gangster John Dillinger in the movie based on the book "Public Enemies: America's Greatest Crime Wave and the Birth of the FBI 1933-34" by Bryan Burrough. The movie, slated for a 2009 release, has also filmed in Wisconsin and Illinois.
