Athletic department cautiously optimistic
Despite the recession and further budget cuts, PUC's four newest teams are still on schedule to start collegiate competition in the 2010-11 school year. Men's tennis, women's tennis, men's golf and women's volleyball are currently recruiting and already have or will begin open gyms.…

Peregrines soar past Eagles
The Peregrines capitalized on a high-flying defense and clutch three-point shots to come up with an 83-37 win against the visiting Judson University Eagles on Saturday, Feb. 6.
Judson won the opening tip-off, but the PUC defense went to work immediately, stopping the Eagles offense in its tracks and feeding the ball to senior Sara Keilman for the first points of the game.…

Peregrines fall to Judson
The PUC men's basketball team lost to Judson University 85-71 Feb. 6, at the fitness center.
Judson came out of the gates firing on all cylinders and started the game on a 15-3 run.
"Judson is a very physical team, they attacked the ball on both ends of the floor and got a good margin early in the game," Coach Dan Voudrie said.…

Coaxum wants the win
Samekia Coaxum already made up her mind as a junior in high school. Traveling to a new state to attend school at PUC and possibly walking on the women's basketball team.
"I had family that lived up here and decided this was the place for me," Coaxum said.…

Big Game party is 'super'
Sunday's NFL championship game brought students of all walks of life together to watch the big game, eat some great food and support the Haven House Foundation.
Students were charged $2 and non-students $5, with all the proceeds going directly to the Haven House Foundation for Battered Women.…
