Michael Jackson lives on in Gary's fan's hearts

As news spread over Michael Jackson's death, hundreds of people flocked to his childhood home in Gary, 2300 Jackson Street, to pay respect to the pop icon. Jackson was pronounced dead Thursday at UCLA Medical Center after being taken from his homes in Los Angeles.… 4 Comments

Indiana and PUC give "green light" to new sports

The budget for the 2009-10 school year has the required funds for athletics to start four new sports programs. The Athletic Department is looking to hire coaches for men's and women's tennis, women's volleyball and men's golf this fall. PUC Athletic Director Robert Bunnell said the athletic program was receiving $77,000 from PUC to fund the hiring of coaches.… Post the First Comment

New police chief takes office

As the 2009 spring semester was coming to an end, the new Chief of Police, Anthony Martin, was just beginning his duties at PUC. Martin has been in law enforcement for 38 years. Goals Reached for Relay for Life

Over $9,500 total funds were raised out of a goal of $10,000 at the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life event held at Lake County Fairgrounds. University Village II Near Completion

After more than a year of construction, blood-boiling sweat and tears, University Village II, an expansion to PUC's University Village, is nearing completion, and the new building will be opening its doors just in time for the fall 2009 semester.
